Interested in volunteering with PSAR ???

Here is a quick look at the process…

Download the application here and fill it out.

Bring it to the next monthly business meeting on the second Wednesday of the month.  Our meetings are held at the Monroe County Public Safety Training Center located at 100 Gypsum Dr Stroudsburg, PA 18360.

The application is read at two business meetings.  The first to introduce yourself and the second to vote on the application for Probationary Status.  Probation period is 6 months.  This is designed to help you acquaint yourself with the team, obtain the proper training necessary to operate on a search and to see if Search and Rescue is a good fit for you and the team.

Search and Rescue requires time and dedication.  You will need to be available for at least 2 days a month.   You must attend 50% of team events.  That usually entails the monthly business meeting, monthly team training (held on the 4th Sunday of the month usually) and other training that may occur.

K9 Training- K9 applicants are also responsible for additional K9 training in addition to monthly team training.

Here is a list of equipment and our training standards which we follow.
